The most helpful work samples capture an artist's unique sensibility and area of investigation, especially as it relates to the proposed work. Take some time in your work sample description to point out the ways in which the work sample is specifically related to the work you are proposing. Don't assume evaluators and panelists will see the connection. The aim is to bring the panel as close to the actual experience of being in your audience as possible.All Lead Artists are Required to submit work samples online as part of the full application.
What to Submit
Audio Work Samples -- recommended for composers
Please upload directly into the application one MP3 file that includes up to 10 minutes of original composition. The file may include as many songs as you want, but the total length must not exceed 10 minutes. Please see the work sample FAQ's for information on formatting and merging files.Video Work Samples -- recommended for Choreographers, Theater Directors, Performance Ensembles, Puppeteers, or Solo Performing Artists
Please upload one 10-minute video excerpt or two 5-minute video excerpts from previously completed work.Two 5-minute clips may be from two different works.
At least one sample must be from work created in the past 5 years.
Please post your work sample clips only (no full-length versions) to the video sharing site Vimeo only, and provide the URL links in your online application.

Note: MAP no longer accepts You Tube or personal website URL's.
Image work Samples -- recommended for Designers and Visual Artists
Upload up to 10 digital images using the following specifications:- Dimensions: No larger than 1240 pixels x 1240 pixels
- File Size: Each image must be under 4MB
- Color scale: sRGB
- Resolution: 72dpi
Written work samples -- recommended for Playwrights and Librettists
Upload a full script or libretto completed in the last five years.- File Size: No larger than 4MB
- Evaluators will read the first 10-pages of the script AND an additional 10-page section that you indicate. Use the work sample description field to indicate the second section.
- File format: PDF or Microsoft Word (.doc)
- MAP will not review documents uploaded in any other format.
Work-In-Progress Samples
