A: Yes, you can save your work by clicking the "Update" box at the bottom of most pages. Then click Sign Out, at the top of the page to leave the application.
Q: I'm having trouble cutting and pasting.
A: There is probably formatting in the document you're pasting into the application that is incompatible with our software. Go back to your original document and save it as a text-only file. Then cut and paste it into the application.
Q: Does the word limit include spaces?
A: Yes, it's a character limit and it does include spaces.
Q: Can I work on more than one application at a time in the same browser?
A: No, be sure you have only one copy of your application open and are working only on that.
Q: What if I'm over the word limit?
A: The application cannot be submitted if you have exceeded the word limit for each section. Feel free to use common abbreviations to shorten your character count.
Q: Can I attach my work samples electronically?
A: Only written samples in a PDF or Microsoft Word format. All other samples must be submitted via postal mail.
Q: Will my application be available to me online after the deadline?
A: Yes. Remember your username and password, and you may return to the application anytime and check its status.
Q: Can I make changes to my application after the deadline date?
A: No.
Q: Can I share my username (email address) and password?
A: Yes, collaborators can all access the application with the same email address and password.
Q: Can we work on the application simultaneously on two different computers?
A: Yes. But be careful you don't overwrite each others' work!
Q: Do I need to click anything to submit the application?
A: Yes, there is a submit page at the end of the application which you must click to submit.
Q: Can I look at other things on the MAP fund website while I fill out the application?
A: Yes, you can open the MAP fund site in another browser window or tab.
Q: Should I jump around from page to page on the top navigation menu or the home page menu?
A: You can use either. The home page list of steps will turn, indicating you've completed each task. Be sure to visit each page, to ensure you've fully completed the application.
